Guest：I recently had the pleasure of staying at Promenade Pondicherry, and I must say it was an absolutely excellent experience! The Sea View room was stunning—gorgeous decor and very comfortable. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making my stay even more enjoyable. I savored a delicious breakfast in the morning, particularly enjoying the dosas that were simply delightful. Additionally, I treated myself to a massage, which was not only at a great price but also was just a great massage! Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend Promenade Pondicherry for anyone looking for a beautiful getaway with fantastic service.

Guest：I visited The Promenade, Pondicherry and dined at one of their restaurants. While the food and location were acceptable, I had a very unpleasant experience with the hotel management afterward. Despite being a paying restaurant customer, I was denied access to the restroom. The hotel manager explicitly stated that restroom facilities are only allowed for guests who are staying at the hotel, not for diners. This was both surprising and embarrassing, especially considering this is a reputed hospitality property. Basic amenities like restroom access should be considered a fundamental courtesy for anyone dining at the restaurant. Refusing such a basic request reflects a lack of empathy and poor understanding of hospitality, regardless of internal policies. I did not expect this kind of rigid and insensitive behavior from a hotel of this standing. While the property itself is well-located, experiences like this significantly impact the overall impression and trust in the brand. I hope the management reconsiders such policies and trains staff to handle guests — including restaurant patrons — with more professionalism and human sensitivity.
Guest：The room was clean but needs to be upgraded as does the bathroom. The towels were old and looked unclean though I assume they were not. Street noise was immense. The hotel could ensure people do not honk or car alarms do not go off at 3 AM. Did not think there was location value for money. Paid a lot for the hotel. Enquired on the Promenade and other hotels were half the price. Food was charged at NY rate and was sub par. Drinks were also the most expensive I have had in India. Staff is courteous but did not appreciate being woken up at 12 for laundry delivery especially since it was not mine but my sons next door. All in all I do not think I would recommend this hotel based on my experience unless it was at 60$ a night.
