Guest：A lovely small and quiet hotel situated just across the (quiet) road from the beach. The first room we were offered was quite small and dark with a shower over the bath which I couldn’t manage having recently had a knee replacement. The lady on reception quickly offered us another room with a walk in shower which was lovely- no fuss but genuine customer service. Our room was well appointed with amazingly comfortable beds and efficient air conditioning and the shower was excellent, plenty of hot water too! We also had a sea view. Our room was cleaned with care daily- we particularly appreciated the bougainvillea flowers on the bed! Breakfast was fine but very repetitive and nothing freshly cooked- the pancakes and waffles were hard and unappetising having been out for too long. We didn’t eat any other meals in the hotel as there are so many excellent tavernas to choose from along the seafront. We sat on the beach rather than by the pool and had loungers and an umbrella for the cost of a daily beer! Almyrida is delightful if you want local food, friendly locals and beautiful scenery- don’t come if you want lots of entertainment, it’s very low key. We took the bus into Chania which worked exactly as advertised and also hired a car. When we arrived the hotel warned us that there was ‘stomach flu’ circulating and unfortunately we and several other guests succumbed which wiped us out for several days. Despite this we fell in love with Almyrida and have booked for next year at The Almyrida Residence across the road- all part of the Almyrida resort.
Guest：Came back to yet another week's stay at the beach. The hotel itself is warm , friendly and very well run. The staff are very friendly and cater to your every need. There are sister hotels and all guests can use the facilities at all of them. Lots of good restaurants nearby but the food here is very good. We were warned that there was a tummy bug going around during our stay but I myself did not catch it. We booked a late checkout for 4pm and they happily accommodated us. We will be back again!!!

Especially Theo at the reception was always up for a joke and really helped us with every question or concern! The rooms were very nice and cleaned every day. Overall, we really liked the hotel and can recommend it to everyone. Many thanks again to the kind staff who made our stay so pleasant! ??
