Guest：The people and the food/drinks are top notch. Parking was made easy inside the secure garage. The restaurant has amazing views and, at least in April, is among the most lively places in the center of town. We stayed in the Guns N’ Roses room, which had a nice view. The mattress is quite firm, a bit too much so, but that’s really the only thing I’d change. Would stay again.
Guest：Astor Hotel has an excellent location in the historic centre of Belluno. It is a very contemporary hotel with remarkable views and underground parking (best to reserve parking in advance). Rooms are very modern and comfortable. The restaurant and bar share an amazing deck that is a lively gathering place in town because of its sunset views over the river valley. Service is good. Breakfast is OK. Wi-Fi is not only slow, but does not stay connected.
Guest：The timing for our visit wasn't too good, for the hotel. This was our second visit to Belluno. We were one of the first to stay in the hotel after it was renovated in 2014 and had a really enjoyable stay. This return visit for a wedding was marred by the failure of the air conditioning. About a fortnight out from our visit we got an e-mail informing us that the hotel air conditioning had a fault and that they were unable to get parts. No compensation was offered other than "a full refund if you decided to go somewhere else". We are from Australia, traveling to a wedding in Belluno, we organized the accommodation well before (like 6 months) knowing that the wedding and time of year were going to make getting accommodation difficult, we paid in full upfront, and now we are offered a "take it or leave" arrangement in a situation where our other options were poor or non existent. I asked whether they could give us fans. Their answer, we don't have any. Buy some, right? No. It was really hot, we had to have the windows open and as a consequence the rooms were hot and also noisy from the restaurant / bar. On the friday night the bar quietened at about 3am which is about when our jet lag really kicked in. I sought out Guillia the manager but she was unavailable / not receptive to being held accountable / never contacted me after I left messages with the receptionist. The food / breakfast was wonderful, the staff were really helpful, the rooms clean and large and the town is great. Pity the management were so short sighted that they were unable to buy a few fans and buy a bottle of wine to cover the inconvenience? Pretty tight, in my books. Disappointing on a week end that was otherwise fantastic (wedding of the century in a location that is magical).
Guest：Cercherò di dare una descrizione del soggiorno per giustificare il titolo della recensione. L'hotel si trova in posizione centralissima, ha un parcheggio riservato che deve essere prenotato; in alternativa c'è il parcheggio Lambioi da cui con scale mobili gratis si raggiunge comodamente l'hote, saranno 150 metri a piedi. L'accesso dell'hotel è una porta tra il bar ed il ristorante della stessa struttura, non ben identificabile. Reception non presidiata alla sera, per rientrare basta la chiave della stanza. Il personale giovane è cortese ma sembrava un pò inesperto. Stanza grande, pulizia impeccabile, letto grande e comodo. Panorama, dalla stanza assegnata, su un vicolo. Simpatica l'acqua a disposizione nel frigo bar gratuita; peccato che una bottiglia fosse stata aperta e lasciata lì. Un pò seccante ( ma corretto dal punto di vista di evitare sprechi) la richiesta la sera precedente delle pietanze per la colazione. Set di cortesia in bagno curioso; lucido da scarpe, cuffia da doccia, ciabatte ma nessun sapone. In compenso una barattolo di crema corpo senza logo dell'hotel; sarà intenzionale o dimenticato dagli ospiti precedenti? In camera troppi interruttori e manca una luce dedicata alla lettura a letto; c'è un fanale sopra la zona cuscino. Negativo oltre misura il rumore del bar soprastante, con musica ad un volume tale che nonostante le finestre con doppi vetri e le tapparelle abbassate sembrava essere in discoteca. Fortunatamente verso mezzanotte hanno chiuso la serata Colazione infine senza spunti particolari, decisamente non memorabile. In conclusione un albergo moderno, ben tenuto ma che non mi invoglia a ritornare per una seconda esperienza, considerato anche il costo non indifferente.
