Guest：We stayed 2 nights at the Lime tree lodge. The host was very kind and wanted to help us with anything. We did miss an overal introduction to the lodge. What facilities were present and how to use them. The room itself was fine although it felt a bit outdated. The host made us breakfast, this was lovely, nice and had much variety. We think that this place can easily be an amazing lodge. It just needs some more thought.
Guest：This place was warm and inviting - love the group meals (B/L/D) as I was able to meet and carry on a conversation with people from all around the world. The other guests were from Denmark, the USA (Dallas/North Carolina) and Sweden. The host were very pleasant and accommodating - wanting to meet your expectations and had intimate knowledge of the local area (Wanaka). We (the guests) had a huge meal prepared by our guests during the holiday season (December 2024). I will definitely return to this place for an extended stay.
Guest：The property is nice, but the rooms, common area and pool/jacuzzi could use some updating. Upon our arrival, the 2 gentleman that were present could not locate our reservation that was made 10 months prior. After a call to our travel agent, it appeared. Rooms are very dated. No iron or ironing board, safe did not work, AC did not turn on. Patio outside room very dirty as were the windows. No lounge chairs at pool and also littered with dead leaves. Breakfast limited, but the host was very friendly. Did not clean rooms during stay or offer fresh towels. Would not recommend or return.
Guest：I booked this place based on Frommer's 2nd edition travel guide that highly recommended it. I was really disappointed in my stay and I think something has to have changed in management, it most definitely should not be a 5 star hotel. Probably the most uncomfortable bed of our entire trip and all the extra details described in the book did not exist.
