Booking a stay at the multiple award winning Wentworth Mansion while there adds a layer of excellence that makes the trip one to look forward to repeating again soon. Staying at the Wentworth allows visitors to experience and enjoy the beauty of the craftsmanship and hospitality of the Gilded Age grandeur as one who lived there. The variety of inlaid wooden floors, the Tiffany glass surrounds of windows and doors, the room furnishings, the manicured grounds, breakfast at its Circa 1886 Restaurant, afternoon wine and hors d'oeurves on the sun porch, and the amenities of the Woodhouse Spa all supported by a professional staff who are well educated in local history and dedicated to outstanding service that is truly outstanding provide a not to be forgotten experience.
Guest：What a wonderful and beautiful place to stay. My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here and it couldn’t have been nicer. Not only was the staff amazing but every detail was taken care of. We were treated like royalty. Champagne in the room , fresh flowers, beautiful notes signed by the staff, candy and bed turned down at night…. all the extras that you receive staying here such as wine and hors d’oeuvres in the afternoon, Coffee and pastries in the morning, complimentary breakfast in the restaurant and the list goes on. This was our first stay at this location, but having visited Charleston on numerous occasions, it will certainly not be our last. The concierge Will and the Bellman Aiden were so nice as well as Jennifer in the restaurant.
Guest：My husband and I stayed at the Wenworth for 3 nights at the very end of the year. We have been to Charleston before and stayed at some of the bigger hotels, but none come close to the experience of staying at the Wentworth. We had a fantastic experience, all of the staff was wonderful and very helpful. We really enjoyed the charm and history of the property. Very walkable too, we only took an Uber one day to a restaurant that was a bit out of walking distance. Our room was serviced everyday when we were out and about, and we recieved turndown service each night, complete with a weather forecast for the next day and chocolates. Breakfast at Circa 1886 was wonderful, quick service and delicious food. Be sure to make a dinner reservation there too! We also enjoyed happy hour each evening with tasty appetizers. Don't forget to go up to the rooftop for the best views of Charleston! Keep in mind, this is a historic property so it does creak at times. It did not hinder our stay at all, but at times you can hear people walking in the room above you. We will absolutely be coming back in the future.
