Guest：The room was very old fashioned, no dresser, no clean towels by request. Noisy all the time due to people trespassing, even a soap was hard to get by request. You can see a lack of staff everywhere and line to get drinks or food. The food was very limited and sometimes if you’re late you could just stay hungry. Compering to DR or Mexico the service was just poor. Only one lady was smiling and singing cheerful song in the morning, the rest of staff was just not friendly, never smiling and looking sad and tired, which felt uncomfortable. The only one thing that saved our vacation was an awesome sea and beach.
Guest：Location is great! Beach is amazing, white sand that’s powdery soft. Lots of beach chairs and umbrellas available even on a weekend they were fully booked. Plenty of food at all the buffets-did they run out of things? Of course, but replenished frequently. Plenty of beach towels available, and those were available to take on excursions as well. The tour desk was also helpful in booking the stingray city adventure. Lots of good things and I’d stay there again myself. Things to note-hot water in the shower is hit or miss and sometimes scalded and sometimes froze in the same 15 minute shower. The toiletries leave a lot to be desired. Bring your own. The thermostat was also sort of hit or miss. The remote works but would only let us adjust by a couple degrees. Be sure you hold it up close and aimed right at the machine on the wall. Bed was ok for me, but too hard for my partner and made his back stiff. You can request a blanket at the front desk, and also a beach bag (free!). Staff was ok. Not overly friendly or helpful, and wait staff frequently came to the table once and never saw them again. Pools were beautiful, bars and food options good, and sometimes there was evening entertainment. Overall, a nice stay for a decent price.
Guest：Our stay at Jolly Beach Antigua was far from what was presented to us by the photographs provided for booking. To begin, the room we booked was not the room we received, and were placed in a “budget friendly” room instead. The room was TINY. So tiny that it was difficult to fit two pieces of luggage in it. To make it work, we had to remove the ironing board and place it on the patio just to fit one piece of luggage in the closet, while the other had to be placed in the corner and opened each day to retrieve things from it. The bathroom was not very clean. There was toothpaste caked onto the sink counter, and faucet. The shower handles were broken, and came off in your hand when trying to adjust water temperature (which would go from scorching to freezing in a matter of seconds.) There was also wiring from the split-unit air conditioner running through the shower, and then to the exterior. The room was also filled with bugs mainly spiders and cockroaches (which could also be seen around the resort.) We also lost power multiple times, and were without it for quite a bit of time. The hotel advertised that there were 4 restaurants on the property however, only 3 were part of the all inclusive deal. The Palms, which is the breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet was open. The Coconut Grill is only open from 11:30-4:45pm. The Pizza Factory is open, but only if you’re willing to wake up at 6:30am to get in line to get a reservation in person, otherwise you are unable to eat there.
Guest：Lost ac for three nights, manager was unable to relocate us to a different room , citing totally filled hotel rooms. Refused to consider giving us an extra fan . After one night if no ac , there were mosquitoes and had to ask hotel staff, twice to spray the room . Pizza factory staff forgot to complete and deliver our food order - we waited 90 mins , until we walked out .
