  • Guest：Food was great, service efficient and the atmosphere was good. The food was delicious. I had the French onion soup which had good depth of flavour and sweetness. The grilled prawns were gorgeous, I loved the addition of the sourdough that mopped up the flavour of the prawns. My husband had the haggis bon bon and the Wagyu burger again all very good. The wine list is excellent. We ate in the bar which was around 75% full on a week day lunch time so it had a good vibe. Would definitely go back and recommend.
  • Guest：Absolutely loved it. We spent the night at the Bonnie badger and from the moment we walked through the door the whole experience was fantastic. All the staff working there are great from the warm welcome when checking in to the attentive staff in the restaurant. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Made to feel very welcome The food was exceptional not only in the evening but the following morning at breakfast. Honestly can’t recommend it highly enough and I can’t wait to go back
  • Guest：Loved everything about the Bonnie Badger. Have stayed at many wonderful hotels in Scotland and it’s one of my favorites. Hotels are very expensive in Scotland and I think we’ve become a bit numb as to the prices, but, compared to comparably priced hotels from Dornoch to Glen Coe to Aberdeen to Fife, the Bonnie Badger is top notch. Loved the comfort of the bed, the shower, the delicious food, and especially the staff. Also much prefer it to the other top rated hotel in lovely Gullane. Will definitely be back!
  • Guest：Everything you could want from a hotel/ restaurant. Lovely, friendly, helpful staff. Rooms were excellent - small but perfectly formed. Bathroom was immaculate with a wonderful shower and heated floor. Bedding, towels all beautiful and the homemade salted chocolate chip cookies were sooo good. We ate in the Stables restaurant one night and the food was top notch with excellent attentive service again. Breakfast both mornings absolutely delicious - we had full Scottish one morning but you also got fresh fruit salad and yoghurt with fruit compote. You can tell they use the best local ingredients in everything they serve. Even the plates, dishes and mugs are ceramics by a small Scottish business. And a great music playlist in the bar, restaurant, garden room. Extra little touches which just added to the cost, welcoming vibe. We loved every minute of our 2 night stay and were sad to go, even with a compliment gift bag of water and homemade flapjacks. Fantastic value for money - we’ll be back!
