Guest：My friend and I stayed here for a week in early September. We are regulars here and have been staying with them for the 20 years or so. The cleanliness is second to none. Rooms are serviced every day and there are always fresh towels. There was a huge walk in shower and Shower gel/Shampoo and Hand wash is supplied. Air conditioning is available with no extra charge, although we couldn’t use it on a night because of its position over the bed. (Not asthma friendly). The beds are made up every day and are comfortable, although one of us found them a little hard it did not disturb sleep. There is a very well equipped kitchen if you wish to cook your own meals. A 2 ring hob, microwave, toaster and kettle. There was a balcony with patio furniture looking out onto the garden, lovely on a morning. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and the breakfast is fantastic. There is a wide choice of bread rolls, bread for toast, jams and marmalades. He’s and ham and cereal and the usual cooked eggs and bacon are always available. The coffee machine is a real bonus. The staff, as always, are fantastic. Always helpful and pleasant, they feel like family after all our visits. Now to the reason, for the first time in all the years we have stayed here, that I am only giving it 3 stars. The “restaurant “ menu. This has been cut back so that all the meals we enjoyed here have gone. We stay for a week and have always been happy to eat here every day of our weeks stay. However this year the choice was more of a snack bar/cafe menu. While it’s ok for the odd meal there is little to keep us there at lunchtime or on an evening. Luckily the marina with its choice of restaurants is a short uber away. Where are the meat or fish kebabs? The peri peri chicken? The lamb cutlets? Whilst I understand the economy is bad and cutbacks are needed in all industries, the cutbacks here are alienating regular customers, to the extent that we are looking at another hotel for the first time in 20 years. Of course this may appeal to other tourists, who eat breakfast then disappear for the day, but we like the actual hotel, the pools,the scenery and the peaceful atmosphere and we’re always happy not to set foot out of there till we had to come home. Changes have been made, but not all are for the best.
Guest：Good value , situated at the back of the town minibus provided to Marina and Falesia beach 3 times a day great bonus. The hotel was spotless and the accommodation was very spacious if a little dated. The hotel kindly booked us into a room with no steps near the pool as requested. The pool was large and a fair temperature , who wants a hot pool when it's hot outside? The grass and gardens did mean there were a lot of flies which meant we preferred to go to the beach each day, not the hotels fault and maybe it was the time of year but it really bothered us. I did not see on any reviews mention of sun bed cushions which was a real bonus and so comfy we would have stayed by the pool more if there had been no flies. The restaurant didn't have a huge choice but we ate there a few times and the food was lovely and well priced. The staff at the hotel were lovely and we would stay again .
Guest：We stayed for five nights in a standard apartment. There was a separate bedroom, bathroom and open plan kitchenette/lounge area. The bathroom came with a walk in shower, bidet, double sink, hairdryer, body wash and hand soap. The lounge area had a tv, aircon, wardrobe, and sofa bed. The bedroom had two twin beds pushed together, tv, aircon, wardrobe, sliding doors to the balcony (with two outdoor seats and a table). The kitchenette had a microwave with a grill function, a hob (we didn't use these), kettle, toaster, fridge, various kitchen utensils. Washing up liquid/sponges were not provided. I found the apartment overall to be very comfortable and relaxing to be in. The housekeeping was very good, the staff came in discreetly when we were out to make up the beds and freshen towels. We spent a few hours relaxing by the poolside in the sun, a treat for Brits in November. We didn't bother with the breakfast on site, instead choosing to have toast in the apartment or getting breakfast out at the marina. We did have a portion of chips on the first night as we'd arrived late after the Spar had closed and neither of us wanted a heavy meal after a day's travel. The hotel food menu is quite limited for any dietary requirements. The hotel is located in a quiet area north of the marina. Bolt/ubers are in good supply. There's also a shuttlebus that goes to and from the marina twice a day, although we didn't end up using this. Buses do exist in the Algarve, but they aren't regular and there's no information at any of the bus stops, so you'd be reliant on the terrible Vamus app. The ride apps work out reasonably if there's two or more of you. However, if you are keen walkers, the marina is a pleasant and safe walk on a major cycle route, which includes outdoor gym equipment. I'd recommend a trip into Quarteria as well as Vilamoura marina, there's some great restaurants there. Closest to the hotel is the Spar and United Kitchens of India. Spar has most essentials, although the Intermarche closer to the marina is better. United Kitchens of India is a top rate Indian restaurant which I'd highly recommend, it caters well for various dietary requirements.
Guest：Absolutely amazing !!!! The hotel is so peaceful, pristine and the food is lovely . Cecilio and Shamam are an asset to this hotel so friendly and helpful. The pool is so clean and quiet . First time here and would definitely stay again !!! All disabled access and the apartment was big and bright and airy. Easy to get Ubers to the marina for shops only approx 5 euros each way . Free shuttle bus also to beach and marina 3 times a day . The only thing I would say about it the reception staff speak very little English and didn’t understand when I ask about small things . However always able to ask Cecillio or Shamam for advice. Perfect holiday 5 ***** +++++
