Guest：I had a great two-night stay at this hotel, which looked like a cute holiday resort - perfect for relaxing after a 6-day safari. The staff were incredibly nice, and my room was cleaned after each night, which I really appreciated, even though it’s standard practice. There was only a flat sheet provided instead of a duvet, which confused me at first because the air conditioning made the room quite cold at night. However, after experiencing the heat and humidity of Zanzibar the next day, it made sense The bed was comfortable, the shower was clean with hot water, and the pool was beautiful. You can explore nearby villages, and the locals were so friendly. I even followed some local girls to a wedding on Friday Kids waved and smiled at me, and a few ran up to give me a hug! It was beautiful to see them enjoying themselves with simple, real activities like riding bikes and rolling car wheels, instead of being glued to technology. The whole atmosphere felt very vibrant and authentic. I didn’t try the restaurant, so I can’t comment on the food, but the breakfasts were nice. I spent an evening at the hotel bar, and the staff were great - friendly, funny, and they made good cocktails. They also ensured I reviewed and signed the bill at the end, so there were no issues with payments during checkout Asante Sana!
Guest：It was disappointing being discussing out check out time the whole 2 days. We had to leave 1 day before due to a flight change and it took many conversations to let them understand why we would after check out time but the day before of our end of stay. We had to discuss the issue with 6 different members of staff saying we had cancelled the last night. Finally we could solve everything thanks to jannet who was very nice and helpful in every moment. About the installations the toilets weren't clean. We didn't have shampoo on the shower. Breakfast was buffet, which was okey. Pool was very nice but just for the issue we didnt enjoy the place...
Guest：A little disappointed to be honest but I think the three rating is fair. We arrived late and immediately had to pay the tax which was USD32 (4 nights x USD4 x 2 people). This was after the mandatory travel insurance to visit Zanzibar in the first place and the visas submitted for Tanzania. Whilst these factors are outside of the hotel's control, I am making sure other travellers are aware that a trip to Tanzania where a visa is required will cost a minimum of USD50 and then Zanzibar USD44 for mandatory insurance (which probably won't be as good as your own cover anyway) and then 4USD per night per person again. In effect, a short extension to our safari cost an extra USD120 on top of our hotel costs for my wife and I. The other reason for mentioning is this was the up-front payment as we arrived late after a long day of travel and surely could have been done the following day. We enjoyed breakfast and a big thanks to a petite young lady I think was called Julie-Rose. She was by far the most helpful member of staff. I do think some staff could do with some direction though as they often congregated together with phones out which over the next few days ended up with me going direct to the chef for my egg choice as there was nobody around. We also went later one morning to find the fruit all gone and none of the staff seemed to notice. My wife also wanted to use the spa and there was a misunderstanding on the initial price so I went to enquire. The advertised spa is not on-site and is at the sister hotel and advised 7 mins away. My wife was told it was USD5 to get there and I was then told after clarification it was actually 5USD EACH WAY. We messaged the spa direct on WhatsApp and the respondent gave a different view but my wife just decided she wasn't going to go at all after the palaver. As a result they lost business. I then asked for a copy of the trips and prices that the hotel runs and was talked though them in reception but could not be given a copy or borrow the sheet. I said I just wanted to take to the room for 5 mins to show my wife but this was not an option. I advised I had an electronic one in my emails anyway from a month or two back after contacting the hotel and I would dig out when on a secure network. In the end, we went with another company so they lost business again and that was without knowing if it was any better/cheaper. So on the point of network, and after being in the heart of the Serengeti a few days earlier where I didn't expect any Wi-Fi at all let alone secure, I was a little disappointed that this hotel's offering is not secure. Especially since the office connections are. On reading the information available on a laminated sheet in the room, we then found out it was an extra 5% to pay by card. Losing business continued over the next few days as we decided to eat out and it wasn't because the food looked inferior; I think we'd just reached a saturation point. Guest：From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and the friendliest staff who truly go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Whether it was recommendations for the best spots in town or their quick service at any hour, they made every moment special. Margaret and her team are excellent. Douglas was also amazing. The rooms? Immaculate and beautifully designed with stunning ocean views – waking up to the sound of waves was a dream! ? And don’t even get me started on the food – fresh, delicious, and so many options to choose from. the waiting staff are all brilliant Ismael was very good and was very warm and welcoming. The Chef Phil was excellent. But what really stood out? The vibe! The hotel radiates fun and relaxation, perfect for couples, families, or solo travelers. ?♂? Whether you’re lounging by the pool, sipping cocktails on the beach, or joining them in the evening, there’s something for everyone. I can’t recommend Fun Beach Hotel enough – if you’re planning your next holiday, this is the spot. Trust me, you won’t want to leave! ?
