Guest：I had a wonderful stay. It felt so secluded and you felt like the only ones there most of the time since there are so many different areas for the guests to relax. David, the tour guide, gave great complimentary tours. I loved the underground river tour. Kayaking in the lagoon was so peaceful. We saw so many birds. We did an excursion to sian kaan which I highly recommend. The casitas were so private with huge spa like bathrooms. Ours even had a tree. The food was excellent, however there was only 1 restaurant. It is a 35dollar cab ride to the downtown which we really enjoyed.
Guest：Hotel/resort of a lifetime. Such an incredible experiences starting with the multiple cenotes on the grounds. If you stay there, be sure to spend time around the hotel, because there is so much to see, and there are several great places to relax. The restaurant was fantastic. We were especially happy to see a variety of vegan items on the menu. The staff was also very helpful but also nice and chill. It was fun chatting with Cuauhtémoc and the other wait staff. Super friendly team, and they let me practice my Spanish! We stayed in a casita with two patios, which was especially great. The rooms were airy and well designed, with perfect climate control in the jungle. The whole place, including the rooms, is superbly maintained and clean. The grounds is wonderfully quiet, a great redoubt for those of us from large cities. The place is not cheap, but a great value. We even decided to extend our stay. Lastly, the hotel is located about 20 minutes outside Centro and the hotel district etc. The staff is helpful in arranging cars for reasonable prices. There are great beaches and ruins that are easily reachable. The experience will be different than the hotel district, and I'd say the road less traveled. Really would like to stay here again in the near future.
Guest：Amazing grounds between the vast forest/jungle trails, the beautiful blue/green lagoon, the cenotes (some hidden) and the facilities and architecture the Hacienda Wakax is a true gem. The service was impeccable and the food at the restaurant was delicious. Our entire family, 8 years old to 46 had a blast whether riding bikes, exploring the grounds, relaxing by the amazing pools or paddle boarding through the lagoon. Its location is just north of Tulum downtown, which gave us a chance to explore both Playa del Carmen and Tulum equally. Would visit again and highly recommend.
Guest：The hacienda was beautiful, with its own cenote and underground river. Tours by David were amazing on site, and his advice for activities, restaurants etc. really enhanced our stay. The restaurant food was excellent - we had breakfast included and also ate one lunch and 2 dinners during our 5 night stay.
