  • Guest：We visited for a night and had dinner and breakfast here. Friendly service from Alice and the other lady behind the bar. The room was clean and comfortable, and we slept well. Large bed. Lovely breakfast the next morning. Good food. Recommended.
  • Guest：The Railway Inn is in a fairly isolated position, but for those who like the peace and tranquillity, it is perfect. Alice the owner, will give you a friendly greeting. There are only 5 bedrooms, so everything is nice and cosy. There is a comfortable lounge/bar downstairs and a thriving restaurant. The food produced by Alice is absolutely superb. Personally, I love this type of hotel, as it is quaint and unique. I will certainly make future bookings at The Railway - much preferred over large national chains!
  • Guest：Slightly drab establishment. It's a pub. I had a small room with two single beds. It was clean but looked tired and there was very little furniture. En suite toilet and shower. Quite dark and the place felt a bit musty. Breakfast was very average and served at the table. No buffet in sight. Coffee tasted like instant served in a metal pot. No frills. Quite rural and very quiet location. The building has a car park. The proprietors don't seem to have made much effort and at ￡75 a night for single occupancy with breakfast it was way overpriced.
