Guest user：The Royal Park is undergoing a major refit, currently leaving only the upstairs rooms available. This Mitel is in the average range. Not flash, not scruffy, but in the current state, it was a bit the latter. We had a serious medical situation arise with one of our friends while we were there, and the magic of Royal Park is the management and the caring serve they provided. Can't speak highly enough of them, their flexibility, and general friendliness. Don't go expecting luxury, but if you want a place to sleep, clean and spacious, and to be looked after in a handy location, I'd suggest supporting their efforts to get back to being more of the upscale motel range.
Guest user：We stayed here in March 2024. The motel is well located on a main road just off the motorway, so relatively easy to get into central Auckland or southwards. There are several restaurants a few minutes' walk up the road, and a supermarket (Countdown) and McDonalds in the other direction. Overall, the motel was ok but nothing special. Our room faced south and there was little light or sun into the main room. The bathroom got all the light. I recommend that you ask for a north-facing unit. The wifi signal was not very stable, which was quite irritating. The amenities were sufficient but basic. Next time I would probably pay more to stay somewhere more comfortable.
Guest user：Fresh, clean spacious and super roomy. Excellent bathroom, good quality furnishings. On a busy road, but relatively quiet. Plenty of nearby amenities. Supermarket a wee walk down the road as are a few eateries. Not to hard to find when exiting the motorway.
