Guest：We had an excellent time. The rooms were exactly what we needed and had an unbelievable view. The A/C was nice surprise during the hot first few days! The service was great and extended past the stay only - it included pre-stay advice, what to book as well as recommendations of beaches, restaurants etc. In fact, we had such a good time we extended our stay with 2 days at Skiathos instead of going to Skópelos (after we visited on a day cruise). PS - if you looking for a fun cruise then the Elizabeth is it! The location was great - could walk to the old town (which we loved) or a 5min drive (we rented a small car which worked well). We could easily get from the airport to Villa Athena with the rental car. The rooms was exceptionally clean (and cleaned every day without being intrusive). We loved the setup and atmosphere of the Villa and would never do it different. Overall we found it quiet and peaceful - obviously it is an island and many tourists hence you might hear the odd music from a venue, but it was not disturbing and always stop early evening (this was only on Saturday evening). We thought, compared to other international holidays, to be really good value for money, especially considering the standard of the rooms , location and view.
Guest：We had such a lovely stay at Villa Athena. The excellent reviews and high praise are deserved—what a peaceful and beautiful place, and what kind hosts. We were among the very last guests for the season, and stayed in #7. Karen and Org were kind and gracious all throughout our stay; we descended upon their fresh figs, grapes and pomegranates like a couple of fruit bats. Karen was incredible with her communications both before and throughout our stay, and she helped me to coordinate a memorable birthday surprise for my husband down in Skiathos town. Every restaurant recommendation that Karen and Org made was excellent (don’t miss Marmita or Ricchi e Poveri!) and we were especially appreciative of their suggestion to visit the island’s monastery & winery...there are some great hikes up in the hillier parts of the island. Karen and Org, thank you so much for your incredible hospitality and kindness—and for all of the loving care and work you put into your beautiful gardens. We had a wonderful visit and hope to return.
Guest：We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Villa Athena. We stayed for 5 days in a June and only wish we could have been there for longer. Our apartment (number 7) was clean, spacious and had great facilities including a new bathroom. But the best part was the outside space - the views were stunning and we loved having our breakfast overlooking the sea. The apartments are all extremely private so it really feels like you are in your own space - none of the outdoor spaces are overlooked. The hospitality from Karen and Org was 10/10 - we felt so at home straight away. They gave us great tips for beaches, car rental, restaurants, boat trips etc. We hired a jeep for our trip which was great but if you are getting around the island by bus, the apartments are well located right outside a bus stop however there is a steep hill to get up from the bus stop to be aware of (it is worth the view when you get up there though!)
Guest：We had the most amazing stay from the moment we arrived and were greeted by the beautifully kept gardens and wonderful view (villa 2) we knew we would have a fab holiday. I cannot praise this place highly enough, the hosts would chat to you and help you know the best places to go and really made you feel welcome. We thought we were booking a traditional self catering apartment, which this is but is so much more! Comfy bed and pillows, quiet air con, power shower! The place is up a hill so was an effort after a few Aperol but you can’t get that view at ground level! Plus it was good exercise with the fantastic food and drink we had.
