Guest：Phil and Maria were very friendly and welcoming, they have a fantastic place. Very clean, very high standard rooms, really comfy bed. Lovely setting with a lake, beautiful and relaxing. The Tuck shop is a great idea, saves having to go out to a shop late at night when you fancy a drink or snack. We will certainly be going back there. Thank you both for making it a great stay, see you again soon.
Guest：I stayed here many times in 2021 and both Phil and Maria were helpful, friendly and a good laugh. Nothing too much trouble. Facilities brilliant including the wet room which helps with my instability not having to climb in and out of baths and showers. For those who think reality tv is actually “reality” you must be having a laugh. Careful editing and cutting out leading questions to make answers sound off the cuff and spiteful can change the tone of any recorded conversations. I hope people will visit and try the Spinney for themselves and see not everything you watch on a television show is real.
Guest：Myself and my partner have stayed a number of nights with Phil and Maria, and honestly have never met a more hard working, easy going couple who will bend over backwards to help you out. The amount of untruthful reviews people have left following a television program is really sad. Please remember TV isn’t real life and producers will edit to follow a certain story line. Give your head a wobble if you are one of these people leaving nasty reviews online to a couple you have never met. What happened to being kind to each other.
Guest：Well what a little Gem this is, we stayed in the loft suite overlooking the lake. It's so magical at night !! The bed was super comfy, it was lovely and quiet .My room had everything we needed, tv, fridge one cup machine, microwave crockery & cutlery incase we had food delivered. The owner had put milk water and juice in the fridge for us and I was more than happy with the light breakfast (cereal) provided. If i wanted anything else the little honesty box area had plenty to choose from and was very sensibly priced. I only met Maria but spoke to Phill on the phone and both were so helpfull and friendly and made us feel very comfortable immediately. I will definitely be staying again especially as I've spotted a self catering log cabin beside the lake that needs exploring !!! Five stars from us !!!!
Guest：Although the building and grounds are impressive, this is all the positives I could say. On arrival we were greeted by Maria who seemed to take offence by our presence (same sex couple) and talked down to us the entire time. We stayed in the Signature Suite, booked 2 nights for romantic weekend stay. Room seemed very cramped with low ceilings. Quality of the furnishings was ok - nothing really to write home about or really to remember. There was a few faint stains on the carpet and the room had a odour of cigarette smoke masked with room deodoriser. On the approach to the room there is a very handy honesty bar on the landing, which came in very useful at breakfast as the breakfast they provided was VERY meagre. Cornflakes in the dispenser tasted very cheap (or they could of been past their best), the pastries provided were very cheap quality and rubbery, and poor quality tea and coffee selection. Save your money and look elsewhere
