  • Guest：Located inside the Periyar Tiger Reserve, this place is ideal for couples or families or large groups. They have many rooms and all are well appointed. The staff is very cooperative and positive in approach. The restaurant has a nice ambience and serves good food - both buffet and a la carte. Some things to bear in mind: There's no entry or exit from the hotel after 5:30 PM. So, if you're looking to explore things like the Kalaripauattu or dance programs in Kumily town in evening, you may not be happy staying here. The boat landing point is a walkable distance away. But at times, walking may not be allowed if there's an incident enroute. Ideal to come here in your own vehicle. Hotel staff call for a rickshaw if asked for, which charges Rs 150 to and fro the town. Being a forest lodge, there are a lot of monkeys around, so not advisable to sit out or walk around with eatables in hand. There's no laundry service. Payments can be made by card/cash/UPI. All things considered, it's a very good place to stay if you want to enjoy the serenity and quietness of nature.

  • Guest：Stayed in Women week with Great discounts, helping staffs, warm and friendly reception,nature walk &jungle view is awesome.Very cool and relaxing atmosphere.We enjoyed and recommends all. Two suggestions - Make sure good connection of mobile network, WiFi connection and include more non veg items.
  • Guest：Stayed at PH, after previously staying at AN couple of years back PH has hostel type rooms with a play area for children Good rooms and sufficient hot water, Lots of parking Need to keep room doors and windows closed due to monkey presence 7AM to 6PM. Mornings they will be crusiing down the room corridors...:-) Also to be careful not to hold any food item in your hands. We had a good stay and the hosts made special provisions for us (Kudos to KTDC team Saju, Praveen and Binny and team) Evening and night-time we can see porcupines, wild pigs and deer in and around the PH campus. Also sometimes bear and elephants as well, it seems. As in all jungle resorts there is a curfew time (5.30) by which we need to be in the hotel... cant walk around after 5.30PM . All in all, a true jungle style experience.
