Very friendly service all around. Excellent breakfast and enjoyed a tasty room service meal from the downstairs restaurant, too. Our room was one of the more stylish ones with parquet floor. Great bedding and we slept well. Warm recommendation!

Perfect stop in downtown Mikkeli. Beautiful walks available at this location. Close to train stop.

Two years ago my experience in this hotel was a positive surprise, surpassing most of the other Sokos hotels. This time our experience was the basic average Sokos hotel, so unfortunately not as great as last time, but still nice. The room was clean and nice, wifi and air conditioning working well. Wasn't totally happy with the breakfast, as there was several different items missing (empty dishes) at 9.20 am already and people had to ask after them. This was obviously solved, but the system was not very proactive. All in all, good location, clean, friendly.

A clean hotel and excellent service! At the breakfast buffet our kid with food allergies got a good selection of safe foods when requested. The hotel has a perfect location in Mikkeli city center near the railway station. The room was cool and quiet.

Let me first state, that in spite of the low rating, the hotel is good. Clean rooms, well equipped, fine bathroom, not noisy. Tried the bar - decent drinks. Breakfast abundant even if of average quality only. BUT: My wife checked in and did not have the reservation number at hand. I was not reachable at the time. That the surname is the same did not impress the receptionist. My wife had to wait for an hour and a half in the lobby, without access to the room. No reservation number, no room. And I was not told when making the reservation that the number was required. Completely brainless treatment of a customer. When she got hold of me and got the number she had to pay even if the hotel already had an imprint of my creditcard. Double stupidity. To the credit of the hotel the manager duly apologized and admitted the mistake. But this is what happens when staff is told to follow stupid rules without thinking.
