  • Guest：We (a family group of 9) just finished our stay at Calma , where we enjoyed very much our stay. Location: PERFECT - just 150 meters from Plakias main street, however in a very calm surrounding, we felt even protected from the wind. Facilities: VERY CONVENIENT, we occupied two apartments and a mini villa. This allowed us to gather altogether in a private garden. The pool section is very nice as well with plenty of armchairs enough for all guests. They even have a bar in place open during the day (we had cold beers and cocktails at very fair prices). Grocery and supermarket just few steps from the appartments. Maintenance and cleaning: SPOTLESS, everything was in very good shape and very clean. But above all, we enjoyed very much the hospitality , advices and assistance of Artemis, the owner of Calma Appartments, She was very helpfull for all things we needed from organizing transport to recommending restaurants, etc. Calma Apartments is one of those places where what you get is really nicer than the pictures you see in the internet. I would definitely stay again when visiting Crete again. Thank you Artemis !!!
  • Guest：Booked quite last minute, chosen as we knew the location was good as have stayed in nearby accommodation previously. Turned out it is next door! This accommodation is far nicer than the photos we saw and we received a fabulous, warm and caring reception from the lovely Artemis who greeted us when we arrived at 2am, she had even left us food and drinks knowing we had been travelling along time. The studios /apartment was beautiful, simple and clean. All neutral 'Calm' colour. The bed and pillows were super comfortable and we had clean linen and towels almost every other day . The kitchenette was well supplied with equipment. 2 rings, and even a toasties maker!! The pool area is very relaxing but does suffer the music coming from neighbouring hotel. There is a chiller with cans of beers and juices. If no one is there to pay, your are trusted to leave money behind the bar or when you next see Artemis, so please don't abuse this wonderful owners trust and human kindness. Location is only a few minutes walk to the harbour side of the sea front. There is a supermarket about 50m away, just up the hill, open from 8am to 10pm and it's a short cut to Souda beach as you just walk over the hill rather than round the coast road, saves about 6 minutes!! A hidden gem.
