This place is a gem! As soon as you walk in you are impressed with the hall/reception and your view into the bar and dining room. The welcome is nice and as you walk up the stairs to your room it feels grand. My room was spotlessly clean and had everything you need. Coffee/tea and biscuits are provided and water in a glass bottle. Sockets are beside the bed to plug in your phone (really annoys when they aren’t). The bed was really comfortable and I slept like a log! The room wasn’t huge but was a comfortable size. There was a large TV in the room but I didn’t watch it and was happy to enjoy the piece and quiet. The dining room is welcoming and the lasagna I chose from the menu was obviously home cooked and was one of the best I’ve had. Breakfast was in the same dining room which was light and airy with a view over the beautiful well kept garden. There was a good choice of cooked items but I wasn’t very hungry so chose granola and yoghurt and toast which had a choice of jams, marmalade and honey. The tables were laid with linen and gave a luxury start to the morning. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would totally recommend a stay here as you almost feel you stepped into another world. It would also be an amazing venue for an occasion event .

The hotel generally speaking is OK. There is nothing in the literature that says there is no lift. The rooms are kicked and need some attention. For instance there was not a shower head holder, which meant having to hold it. The staff were pleasant enough, especially the night manager who had to marshal drunken guests with overpowering music in the bar. Poor value for money.

What a fantastically helpful bunch at the Bickley Manor. Long chat with Craig who organises functions and he was so helpful and insightful. Well worth booking with him. He spent a long time explaining everything I needed to know and was extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the wedding business. Thank you Craig for all your help, It is really appreciated.

Had an anniversary meal here with my wife recently. Our waitress, Amy, was very polite and friendly and made it a special and memorable experience. Her level of attention was amazing and we are certain to return soon. The food was also excellent.

The Manor at Bickley is a bit of a gem. It has a slightly faded Victorian / Edwardian charm. The floors creak a bit, the furniture is eclectic and the last modernisation appears to have been some years ago, But that adds to the charm. And its situation in its own grounds is lovely. You wouldn't know that you were in a a busy south London suburb. Our bedroom was spacious, clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable and the heating instantly warming. The bath / shower room was slightly cramped but the water was hot and everything worked. The (mainly young) staff were friendly and helpful. Our dinner was excellent. The menu was not haute cuisine but offered variety and was beautifully presented. Our helpful waitress (also receptionist) rustled up for us excellent affogatos (not on the menu) . The breakfast menu meets most tastes. Our salmon and scramble eggs was just right. We would recommend this hotel to anyone (like us) coming from the West of England) and unwilling to endure the M25 twice in one day, or indeed as a base for exploring London.

Visited with a group of 7 at the Tiki Bar and had a fabulous day, the grounds are beautiful, chill out music playing and lovely atmosphere. Special thanks to Sheriff the barman who’s cocktails were amazing and nothing was too much trouble, he even sourced some paracetamol for one of our younger group as she had a headache, smiley and friendly with good banter! Good staff make such a difference to a venue and he is a jewel in The manor at Bickley’s crown! We will be back it’s our new favourite place!
