Beautiful Modica
Hotel Itria is an amazing hotel with beautiful views of Modica below. It is totally worth the very many steps to get to it from Modica bassa. Whether taking the steps day or night the views are unbeatable. The hotel itself is well run, comfortable bedding, excellent bathroom, an ample array of breakfast choices. I would definitely stay there again. Modica is a wonderful place to visit and not to be missed.
Fantastic hotel with great views of Modica below. There is a pool and beautiful patios. Breafast was included and excellent. If you are in shape, you can walk down to the center in less than 10 minutes; the walk back up is a bit harder however bur we did it several times. Otherwise, you can use your car to drive into town in a few minutes.

Ho soggiornato divinamente presso questa splendida struttura, raramente mi è capitato di visitare posti così organizzati , con una vista impareggiabile e personale super cortese , raggiungere il centro storico a piedi è un piacere perché i vicoli di Modica sono suggestivo e romantici . Sarà senz’altro un arrivederci!
This property has awesome view on the gorgeous ancient part of Modica from every room, dining area, and pool. Dining area, porch, and pool are fabulous! Getting there is not easy, especially if you don’t have a car. There is a public bus service but we have not used it. Walking to the city center will require taking steep stairs for about 200 feet. We greatly enjoyed our stay and appreciate the welcome and great level of service from all of Itria staff.
We sadly only stayed one night. As we arrived in Sicily via a ferry from Malta, then a taxi from the port - we didn't have any control over our timings which meant we arrived at the hotel very early (about 10.30am), certainly before current customers had even checked out! However, we were greeted in a very friendly and welcoming manner, offered coffee, a place to leave our suitcases, and use of the pool - although we chose to explore Modica instead. Once we were able to check in, the room was clean and bright, with a comfortable bed, good AC, and a lovely balcony with an amazing view of the town! We then made use of the pool - very refreshing temperature. Breakfast the following morning had a good selection, and it was lovely to enjoy the view as we ate. As our bus to Noto wasn't until the afternoon, we were able to store our suitcases again and keep using the pool way after we'd checked out - very much appreciated! This hotel is high above the town, hence the fab view; however, there are many, many steps if you don't have a car. There are 333 - yes, we counted them! Helped burn off some of the pizza, I suppose ??. It's a really nice place to stay, great amenities and lovely staff
