This was shelf check in accommodation,however the customer service was second to none.All relevant information was provided clearly. The studio apartment was warm,tastefully decorated and had a super huge roll top bath with plenty of hot water and luxury toiletries. Situated in the centre of the village over looking the Church and the cobbled parking area with tree lit up for Christmas adding to our charming stay in Askrigg with beautiful scenery and country walks on the doorstep. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Lovely one night stay in the tricky woo suite. Warm and comfortable with everything you need. Well fitted kitchen, lounge with large TV and setees, even a decorated xmas tree which was a nice touch. Very small bathroom but huge roll top bath in the bedroom. Great location to visit local pub/restaurants. Only one small point...we thought check out was a little early at 10am as most other similar places we have stayed would be later and we did get a knock on the door at 10.05am asking if we were leaving. Would have liked to relax a little on the morning before travelling on. All in all a lovely stay though and would definitely return.

We stayed here as a family of 3 with our 2 year old. It was perfect. Great communication from guest relations, nd a really spacious room. The location of the hotel is ideal, within walking distance to restaurants, a village shop and a great little café. It also had all the amenities you'd need. Definitely will rebook for longer next time. Lovely stay.

Absolutely fantastic place. Beautifully decorated and well kitted out. We stayed in the Darrowby suite which over looks the square and church. Beautiful setting, cosy and very comfortable. We will definitely be back. The hosts went above and beyond sourcing surprise gifts for us on behalf of our friends. We ate in the kings arms which was excellent.

We booked this accommodation online and felt that the price of approx ￡130 a night for the Darrowby suite was great value if it lived up to the hype! We were not at all disappointed. The room was luxuriously comfortable and spotlessly clean. The kitchen was well equipped with top quality crockery and equipment. There was even a lovely coffee machine to make your own espresso/cappuccino/late. The bathroom was beautiful and sumptuous. Only snags, mixer tap worked the wrong way round leading to a bit of confusion. When I called to report the resultant scalding water in the shower the woman who answered the phone was extremely disinterested and rude. I gave up trying to explain my issue to her when she said “yeh alright” with a tone that was straight out of the snarky teenager handbook. This was before 10am so I called back later hoping to get the day staff. The second person I spoke to (Haley I think) coukd not have been nicer, more professional or helpful. I haven’t let this hiccup affect my rating as all in all this is a delightful place to stay but I do think they should record calls for staff training purposes!
